Oweesta, a Native-run finance group that backs more than 65 Native lenders (CDFIs), won a national impact award on October 22. It says its partners have helped support nearly 5,000 Native-owned businesses, and it is aiming to help move $500 million in lending across Indian Country by 2030. If you need startup or expansion money, ask a Native CDFI near you about loans and training before looking elsewhere.
