What stands out

  • Nearly half of us work in two areas. Hospitality and entertainment, much of it likely tied to gaming, plus tribal and public government make up 46% of local jobs. That’s a strength, but it also means our economy leans on a few employers.
  • Some fields are empty. No residents reported working in information (media, tech, telecom) or in finance, insurance and real estate.
  • Small business is thin. Professional services, wholesale and transportation together are only about 10% of jobs.

Why it matters for entrepreneurs

Empty fields are open doors. Bookkeeping, insurance, digital marketing, web design, transport and delivery are services our community uses but mostly buys from outside. Every dollar kept local stays working for Hannahville.
