This is a brief video explanation of my role and involvement with tribal community development. I applied for a different job due to a failing relationship with a demanding young lady in 1989.

It really was a challenge to live with such a jealous and insecure person. I did so well dealing with the public and others. It literally drove her nuts.

She despised so many people who liked me, especially other women.

So I applied for a job that would require me to work less in entertainment. That is what inspired me to apply for the housing job.

I never considered becoming an office worker, let alone a tribal leader and program developer.

I got the job, she left, and I succeeded for a few years.

After many successes, I was deemed a “kid” and too young to be in charge of the very projects I developed and won funding for.

I literally studied the 25 CFR, a federal law, about “Indians”.

Nepotism was the worst culprit and led to false accusations and ruthless community lies about my personal life.

It took away from my accomplishments, and my Uncle Ted Wandahsega told me to toot my own horn, or someone else is going to take credit for your work.

I should have listened! But I was raised not to brag, or so I thought!

Enjoy this preview of my Memoir on Indian Gaming, with the Hannahville Indian Communities, tribal government.

I am writing about my involvement with Indian Gaming and the Indian Child Welfare Act. As they took place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Two separate works.
