A Boy Named Robbie

After learning to read one of my favorite books was about a boy who was severely abused as a child, and his name was Robbie.

Many abuse victims never get real help and seek answers from the abuse experience of others.

This book was my go to resource to remind myself that others have it much worse than I.

The child in this story was thrown in a dryer and turned on as punishment. I had to eat my own puck as a wild Indian kid so I felt terrible feeling bad about that compared to other abused children.

Physical abuse leaves scares but the mental torture is what is difficult to overcome!

This explains why I tell people.

Someone always has it worse than you.

A Boy Named Robbie reminds me I can survive abuse.

I am a survivor.
